How to Wash and Store Your Clothes

Proper care for your garments is essential to ensure they stay looking great and last longer. Our clothes are crafted from a variety of fabrics, including 100% viscose, elastane, cotton, polyester, and polyamide. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to wash and store your clothes based on their fabric composition:

1 Read the Label:

Always check the care label attached to your garment. It provides specific instructions for washing and caring for your item.

Product Care: Viscose 100%

Viscose is a marvellous plant-based textile known for its smooth, soft texture akin to silk. Garments crafted from viscose offer lightweight comfort, an elegant drape, and vibrant colour intensity. Here's how to care for your viscose garments to keep them looking their best:

Washing:

Machine wash your garment on a gentle cycle using a cool temperature setting.

Avoid using fabric softeners, and be cautious about mixing bright colours with whites in the same wash.

When your garment is still damp, gently reshape it.

To preserve the fabric's qualities and colour, either dry it inside out on a flat surface or hang it to dry in a shaded area without using pegs.

You can also use a steamer to effortlessly remove any creases. Alternatively, if ironing is necessary, do so on the reverse side with a medium temperature setting, gradually increasing the heat if needed.

Storage:

To minimize creasing, it's advisable to store your viscose garment on a hanger.

Caution:

100% viscose fabric may experience some shrinkage during the initial washing cycle.

To protect your viscose garments from excessive shrinkage, follow these guidelines:

Gently hand wash them in cold water using a mild detergent.

If using a washing machine, opt for the delicate or gentle cycle with cold water.

Avoid hot water, as it can exacerbate shrinkage.

After washing, air dry the garments by laying them flat or hanging them.

Refrain from using a dryer or exposing the fabric to direct heat, as these can further shrink the material.

Always refer to the care label for precise washing and drying instructions, as different viscose fabrics may have varying care requirements.

By following these care instructions, you can maintain the quality and longevity of your cherished viscose garments. Remember, proper care enhances their lifespan and keeps them looking as stunning as the day you got them.

Product Care: Elastane

Elastane, known for its remarkable stretch and flexibility, is a crucial component in many garments, ensuring comfort and a snug fit. Proper care is essential to maintain its elasticity and longevity:

Washing:

Machine wash your elastane-containing garments in cold water on a gentle cycle.

Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as they can break down the elastane fibers.

To preserve the fabric's stretchiness, it's advisable to turn your garments inside out before washing.

After washing, reshape the garment and let it air dry. Avoid wringing out excess water or using a dryer, as high heat can damage elastane.

Storage:

Store your elastane garments flat or folded, as hanging may cause them to stretch over time.

Product Care: Cotton

Cotton is a beloved natural fiber, cherished for its breathability, softness, and versatility. To keep your cotton garments in top condition, consider the following care tips:

Washing:

Machine wash your cotton garments in cold or warm water, depending on the item's care label.

Use a mild detergent to preserve the fabric's colour and quality.

Separate white and coloured cotton items to prevent colour transfer.

Avoid overloading the washing machine, as it can lead to less effective cleaning.

Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or air dry your cotton garments to reduce the risk of shrinking.

Iron your cotton clothing when slightly damp to ease out wrinkles.

Storage:

Store your cotton garments in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Product Care: Polyester

Polyester is a durable synthetic fiber known for its wrinkle resistance and quick-drying properties. To maintain your polyester garments' appearance and longevity, adhere to these care instructions:

Washing:

Machine wash your polyester items in warm water.

Use a mild detergent and avoid using bleach, which can weaken the fabric.

Wash polyester with similar colours to prevent colour bleeding.

Select a gentle or permanent press cycle to minimize wrinkling.

Tumble dry on low heat or hang polyester garments to dry to prevent damage from high heat.

Storage:

Store your polyester clothing in a cool, dry place, and consider hanging to prevent wrinkles.

Product Care: Polyamide

Polyamide, a synthetic fiber renowned for its durability and resistance to wear and tear, is often used in sportswear and lingerie. To extend the lifespan of your polyamide garments, follow these care recommendations:

Washing:

Machine wash your polyamide items in cold water.

Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can impair the fabric's properties.

To prevent snagging, fasten any hooks or closures before washing.

Air dry your polyamide garments to maintain their shape and elasticity, as excessive heat can cause damage.

Storage:

Store your polyamide clothing in a cool, dry place, and avoid hanging to prevent stretching.

Proper care for elastane, cotton, polyester, and polyamide ensures that your garments remain comfortable, vibrant, and in excellent condition for an extended period. Always refer to the care label
